A Smaller Post and Beam Mountain Lodge Lives Large

The latest entry in stellar post and beam houses from Yankee Barn Homes is Moose Ridge Lodge, a modern take on the mountain lodge style. While its location is definitely rural, this vacation home is far from the average camp. Built by a husband and wife professional team, the smaller post and beam offers a sophisticated veneer with heavy undertones of fun.

When we say fun, we mean F.U.N!

Moose Ridge Lodge was built by a Yankee Barn family member.  A YBH affiliate, he and his family so loved the product, it had been a dream to one day have a Yankee Barn of their own. The couple designed and built the lodge to suite their active outdoor needs as well as a place for friends and family to gather.

Welcome… Come on in!

Coming in at just 1657 square feet, this is definitely a smaller post and beam that lives large. The excellent design and window placement make the home appear much bigger than it really is. From the floor plans, you can see the three bedroom, two bath layout uses every inch of space to maximum efficiency. For example, the upper loft doubles as both sitting area and play space for the couple’s young children.

The open floor plan kitchen is perfect for prepping food while remaining part of the home’s activities.

The dining area comfortably seats ten people.

In order to do this Yankee Barn justice, we will feature another post on it soon. Please check back to see more wonderful photos of Moose Ridge Lodge.

rather interested in the Moose Ridge Lodge. Just 2 adults, living there with need for only the master bedroom and one additional bedroom, not 3 bedrooms for very infrequent guests. Also consider putting a laundry room in where the back bathroom is located. Time to chat and see where this goes. . . . regards, charlie roach 519-870-0066

Great looking home, just curious what the exterior looks like? Will there be photos posted?

Can this be done with a basement? Who do we contact about cost to build? Trying to see if this is a viable option for a farm property we have.
    thanks
