Barn Homes Master Baths

Barn homes master baths come in all shapes and sizes. The phrase “master bath” is often misconstrued to mean grandiose and/or large. While some of them may indeed be large, at Yankee Barn Homes, not all of them are large square footage-wise, but all contain exactly what the homeowners require. Take a look through the photos for ideas on styles, fixtures, tiles, color use and floor plan layout for many types of barn homes. I think you’ll really like what you see.barn homes

Barn Homes Master Baths: Focus on Whites

One of the most popular “colors” for a master bath is white. Crisp, clean and fresh are just three adjectives which readily come to mind when viewing these white, or predominantly white, barn home mater baths.

This master bath in a Yankee Barn English Cottage style post and beam is the epitome of crisp and clean.

This barn home style Yankee Barn master bath does not have an exposed frame…

…while this barn home master bath makes the most of the exposed timber frame and a vaulted ceiling. It’s all a matter of personal preference.

I’ve included this master bath among the “whites” group because the gray is extremely subtle. You’ll notice another bath in the “colors” grouping which uses a much deeper gray.

Again, subtle gray is used to the same effect as a white in this YBH master bath. Notice the crispness of the whites used on the trim, the lighting and the granite counter top.

Barn Homes Master Baths: The Color Formula

When colors are used in master baths, they are often warm and pronounced. Even when leaning to a pastel, there is enough pigment to convey the predominance of color. For example:

While this YBH uses a brilliant white, it also has several walls done in a pale green grass cloth faux finish. It gives the room a soothing spa-like feel.

This bath uses a true sunflower yellow to both brighten and warm the room.

A subtle green is a perfect compliment to the crisp white in this post and beam master bath.

The deep Dove Gray on the walls off-sets the clean white of the tub and the warm tones of the post and beam timber frame, in this YBH farmhouse style master bath.

I love the color of this master bath as it reflects taupe, a mossy green and a gray, to combine for one very nice color.

This lodge style Yankee Barn has a master bath which perfectly matches the mountain style of the home. Warm wood tones and taupe colors in the tiles do the trick!
