Barn houses hold great appeal with many people who decide to build a new home. The ability to have exactly what you want, exactly how and where you want it is a wonderful thing that's pretty much unique to a post and beam home. Due to the structural support of the frame, the floor plan may be designed in just about any configuration...
The last time we saw Great North Woods Lodge, snow had not yet begun to fly in the northern regions of New Hampshire. No snow was probably a good thing as the house was minus a few sets of exterior doors. That has definitely changed, and so has the presence of the snow.
Great North Woods Lodge
Great North Woods Lodge has progressed quickly over the intervening months. The interior has gotten wall board up, electrical is being run, and the plumbing is underway. Stonework has begun on both the lower level hearth and great room fireplace. Porches are on the house and the attached garage has been finished, including roofing and siding. Cedar shingle siding began before inclement weather caused a move to the interior.
The recent construction pictures show a house that has come along quickly since the photos of last October. We anticipate receiving updates from the homeowner as winter winds down and spring gets under way. We are already excited at the idea of a fall foliage shoot for the Great North Woods Lodge. CAN. NOT. WAIT!
